Now open After Effects

First you will need to create a new composition,So open After effects,Create a New Project. And make new new composition

These settings should be ideal for machinima video; adjust the Duration option to give yourself enough time on the timeline for your video.

Import your source video,Then your background.

_________________________

Drag the video(s) onto the timeline,Put you Background clip on the bottom.

_________________________

Right click your clip,Apply the Color Key effect.

Adjust the color key settings to this( Adjust settings as needed to suit your video)

Now Create a mask on the same clip, To remove any unwanted portion of the video.

Click the little Triangle to expand the mask options (1) click Expansion and Adjust the Mask points(2) to cut out unwanted portions of the video, In my case,its the hud.

Now to export your clip. Click Composition>Add to render Queue

Adjust your settings by clicking the blue text,and set the output directory to Desktop or whatever folder you want. Then Click the Render button.
